Many people visit Orlando specifically to see the Disney parks but another great Disney experience is the Disney Dream Cruise out of Port Canaveral. The cruise is an extension of the great experience that you receive at the parks. The great thing is that Port Canaveral is only about a 40 minute drive from the Orlando area making it easy to get to. Once you arrive at the dock you will receive the usual great Disney service where their porters take your luggage for the trip before you park your vehicle. Once you arrive inside the process is a pleasant one that has you check in with your identification and where you receive your "Keys to the World". These key cards are your identification, charge card and way on and off the ship (So don't lose it).
